THE deadline for the filing of applications for the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) is extended to May 31. 2024, the University of the Philippines Office of Admissions announced yesterday.
The original deadline for the submission of documents was yesterday, May 15.
“Current Grade 11 students, who are expected to be in Grade 12 at the time of the UPCAT, are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit their Form 1 within the deadline,” it said.
The UPCAT for incoming freshman students for academic year 2025-2026 is set on August 10 and 11.
The admission test will be held in 113 designated testing centers across the 14 regions of the country, upped from last year’s 102 testing sites.
UP Office of Admissions Director Francisco delos Reyes said testing sites will also be set up in Oman, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Jeddah, Riyadh and Al Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to the big Filipino communities in the said locations.
More than 100,000 students took the UPCAT 2024 that was held on June 3 and 4 last year.
