THE UniTeam of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio will not rest “until the 70 percent preference survey polls position is attained,” Marcos’ chief of staff and spokesman Vic Rodriguez said.
The March 17 to 21 survey of Pulse Asia showed that Marcos remains the top choice for president in the May elections despite a four-point drop in his voter preference to 56 percent while Duterte-Carpio also continues to lead the vice presidential race with 56 percent voter preference, up from 53 percent in February.
“We entreat our supporters, volunteers and campaigners to refrain from complacency and remain focused on achieving our common target of 70 percent presidential preference mark. We acknowledge the overwhelming support of the people as the Pulse Asia survey results clearly show, but the challenge to make history shall remain kindled until election day, and even beyond. We shall not rest until the 70 percent preference survey polls position is attained, until every vote is counted and the aspirations of the Filipino people become a reality,” Rodriguez said.
House majority leader and Lakas-CMD party president Martin Romualdez said Marcos and Duterte-Carpio are thankful for the continued support of the people and will continue building on the wide voter support.
Duterte-Carpio is seeking the vice presidency under Lakas-CMD while Marcos is the standard-bearer of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.
In a statement, Romualdez said the UniTeam aims to reach the remotest communities in the remaining days of the campaign.
“We thank our people for keeping faith with our candidates. We pray that they will continue supporting them and sharing and spreading their message of hope, unity and patriotism.
As Mayor Sara has stated, we have a running-scared mindset. We will do our utmost to improve our candidates’ 56 percent voter support. We remain hopeful of a landslide victory,” he added.
