PASAY CITY, MAY 7, 2020 – The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday donated various medical supplies to the Philippine government to help protect Filipino health workers as they contain the spread of COVID-19.
At least 4,000 kilos of assorted personal protective equipment (PPEs) which included face masks, gloves and shoe covers, as well as 3,000 kilos of medical supplies such as sanitizers and wipes were turned over to the Department of Health.
The turnover ceremony held at the Department of Foreign Affairs was attended by UAE Ambassador Hamad Al-Zaabi, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, and Presidential Peace Adviser and National Action Plan Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Sec Carlito Galvez, Jr.
