PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar yesterday approved the recommendation to dismiss Police Master Sgt. (PMS) Hensie Zinampan, who shot a 52-year-old grandmother in cold blood last May 31 in Quezon City.
“The dismissal from service of PMS Zinampan is evidence that the PNP does not condone abuses among our ranks. This also proves that the PNP’s disciplinary mechanism is working, stable, and reliable,” Eleazar said in a statement.
Last Wednesday, Eleazar said the Internal Affairs Service has transmitted to his office a recommendation to kick Zinampan out of the service for killing in cold blood Lilybeth Valdez after an argument. Zinampan was apparently drunk at that time.
The shooting to death of Valdez came months after Police Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca also killed in cold blood his neighbor, Sonia Gregorio, 52; and her son Frank Anthony, 25; in Paniqui, Tarlac over an old grudge. Nuezca was also dismissed from the service.
