The pandemic may have slowed them down, but it did not dampen their passion for bringing inspiration to every Juan. Viva’s homegrown talents The Juans bring their artistry to even greater heights with their first solo concert at the Araneta this October 23, 2022.

Carl Guevarra on vocals and keys, Japs Mendoza on vocals and guitar, RJ Cruz on acoustic rhythm guitar and Chael Adriano on bass are fired up about their Araneta extravaganza — the first for an OPM artist to mount a show at the Big Dome after the pandemic.

At their press con on Friday, July 1, they shared their excitement for “The Juans Live in Araneta.”

“The Juans Live in Araneta” will not just be an extraordinary showcase of their God-given gifts. Carl, the band leader, said the show will have a narrative, it will tell a story that the band hopes will inspire every Juan who has faced rejection, failure, adversity and other challenges and almost gave up on their dreams.

“This is a culmination of all our hard work for the past few years. We’ve been at this for several years now as The Juans and we feel that we’ve been working all this time to get to this point,” the singer-songwriter shared.

Songwriter and singer Japs concurred. “Every band has a dream venue to play and the Araneta Coliseum is one of those. It is for us as well.”

RJ and Chael dedicated this concert for their very supportive fandom, The Juanistas.

“They’ve been with us since the start, some of them have been there kahit nung wala pa kami,” RJ said.

“This will be a celebration of the music with our dear Juanistas,” added Chael.

Cruz and Adriano are late additions to The Juans, joining the group when Guevarra and Mendoza revamped the original lineup.

“We almost gave up a few years ago,” said Carl. “But it’s a good thing we didn’t. We told ourselves we should go the extra mile for the band and our fans, and we should keep writing songs and I guess it paid off. We’re now actually going to have a concert at the Araneta Coliseum.”

Fans and Pinoy music fans can expect The Juans to play their hits “Hindi Tayo Pwede,” “Lumalapit” “Atin Ang Mundo,” “Hatid” and new fan-fave songs “Anghel,” “Dulo” and even their cover of “Balisong.”

“The Juans Live in Araneta” is a co-production between KDR Music House and Viva Live, Inc.
