Thousands of exhilarated fans and Star Magic artists trooped to the Araneta Coliseum for one of the most awaited events of the premier talent management’s 30th anniversary celebration, the Star Magic 30 All-Star Games.
Held last May 23, the program was hosted by VJ Ai and Richard Juan with Aya Fernandez and Selina de Dios doing the courtside reporting with host-comedians Jhai Ho and Negi.
Before the actual games was the Parade of Stars featuring the muses of the teams. Star Hunt Team had Lou Yanong and Andi Abaya, It’s Showtime Team had Jackie Gonzaga, Star Magic New Breed Team entered with Alexa Ilacad, while the Star Magic Dream Team was led by Belle Mariano. Aya led the opening prayer, while Sheena Belarmino sang the national anthem.
Loisa Andalio, Kira Balinger, Karina Bautista, Jeremiah Lisbo, Kaori Oinuma and Joshua Garcia cheered on those who unleashed their sporty side that day.
The first sports category was badminton. Daniel Padilla and Neil Coleta emerged as the champion in the men’s double, while Poppert Bernadas and Chilco Alicaya and Recio and JM Yosures finished as first and second runner-up, respectively. In the Mixed Doubles category, Gello Marquez and Naomi Suello finished as the winners, while Benedix Ramos and Dalia Varde and Jaye Macaraan and Kathleen Zarandin made it as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The game between the Star Magic Lady Spikers and the Star Hunt Volleyball Teams was intense, with the former taking home the trophy.
Vivoree, Dalia, Naomi, Gillian Vicencio, Analain Salvador, Ai Dela Cruz, Carmela Ford, Ashley Colet, Pj Endrinal, Danica Ontengco, Chie Filomeno, Angela Ken, and Andrea Brillantes formed part of the champ’s team.
Tan Roncal, Argel Saycon, Joseph Eugenio, Lance Carr, Kobie Brown, Bgyo Mikki, Bgyo Akira, Bgyo JL, John Adajar, and Tristan Ramirez were just some who joined the Star Hunt Team.
KD Estrada, Louise Abuel, Isaiah Dela Cruz, Henz Villaraiz, CJ Salonga, River Joseph, Lance Lucido, Tom Doromal, Neil Coleta, Ashton Salvador, Luke Alford, Igi Flores, Seth Fedelin, Grae Fernandez, and Kyle Echarri completed the Star Magic New Breed team.
In the end, Star Magic Hunt New Breed Team A won against Star Magic New Breed team and the Mythical 5 in the junior basketball category had River Joseph, Ashton Salvador, Aleck Iñigo, Argel Saycon, and Lance Carr.
Sela, Negi, Reign Parani, Bianca De Vera, Thamara Alexandria, Heart Salvador, Mela Habijan, Luciana Andres, Abi Kassmem, Arabella Del Rosario, Janah Zaplan, Kathrine Gallo, and Bini’s Mikha Lim completed the Star Hunt Volleyball Team.
The proud Mythical 6 composed of Analain, Naomi, Carmella, Reign, Janah, and Angela took home a special medal.
In basketball, Star Hunt New Breed Team A won against the Star Hunt New Breed Team B on the hardcourt. Tan Roncal, Argel Saycon, Joseph Eugenio, Lance Carr, Kobie Brown, Bgyo Mikki, Bgyo Akira, Bgyo JL, John Adajar, Gino Roque and Tristan Ramirez were part of the Star Hunt Team.

In the end, Star Magic Hunt New Breed Team A won against Star Magic New Breed team and the Mythical 5 in the junior basketball category had River Joseph, Ashton Salvador, Aleck Iñigo, Argel Saycon, and Lance Carr.
The much-awaited basketball event happened between the Star Magic Dream Team and Team Showtime. Donny Pangilinan led the Dream Team, together with Paulo Angeles, RK Bagatsing, Jerome Ponce, Kyle Velino, Joao Constancia, Karl Gabriel, Miko Raval, Gerard Acao, Paolo Gumabao, and Ronnie Alonte as the team’s captain ball. Vhong Navarro led Team Showtime together with Ogie Alcasid, Kid Yambao, Johannes Rissler, Zeus Collins, Nyoy Volante, Ion Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Eric Tai, Wilbert Ross, and Ryan Bang. Vice Ganda was also present during the event to support Team Showtime.
Bini’s halftime performance pumped up the heart-stopping four-quarter game as the fans cheered on their respective teams. In the end, Team Showtime finished as the victor with 84-70.
The Star Magic Games is only the first of the many exciting events and activities that Star Magic has in store for all its supporters this year, as the talent agency marks its 30th anniversary.
