A TABLOID photographer and three of his family members were injured when they were shot by a lone gunman in Quezon City yesterday afternoon.
An initial report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the injured media practitioner as Joshua Abiad, a photographer of Remate.
QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said Abiad’s father and two children who are relatives of Abiad were also injured in the attack.
As to the motive of the attack, Torre said: “None yet. There are seven (persons) inside the vehicle (of Abiad). We are looking into the motive.”
The incident occurred at around 3:50 p.m. along Corumi St., corner of Gazan St. in Barangay Masambong, the QCPD report said.
It said the attack was perpetrated by at least two suspects on board a silver Toyota Vios.
CCTV footage showed one of the suspects, the driver, alighting from the vehicle and opening fire at the victim’s Ford Everest sports utility vehicle. The second suspect, a passenger, also alighted from the vehicle but only watched the attack.
