The collaboration between the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) and Globe continues as they once again join forces for the 7th The Eddys to be held July.
The event is expected to surpass previous editions in scale and impact as SPEEd, together with Globe, a solid partner for years now, push forward in their dedication to advancing the recovery and growth of the Filipino film sector by recognizing the excellence of individuals across various segments of the industry, including filmmakers, producers, writers, and actors.
The involvement of actor and sculptor Leandro Baldemor as creator-designer of this year’s trophy adds prestige to the occasion.
With his expertise and artistic vision, Baldemor is poised to create a trophy that not only embodies The Eddys but also aligns with SPEEd’s overarching mission and objectives as a prominent awards organization.
Months back, SPEEd announced “The Eddys Box Office Heroes,” a special award meant to recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to the resurgence of the cinema box office.
“With The Eddys Box Office Heroes, we aim to honor the stars of films that brought audiences back to theaters,” said SPEEd president, Salve Asis.
With the support of esteemed partners like Globe and the artistic contributions of individuals such as Leandro Baldemor, this year’s event promises to be a noteworthy celebration of the achievements and contributions of the Philippine entertainment industry.
