EIGHTY-SIX six persons wanted for various crimes were arrested in the continuing anti-criminality drive of the Southern Police District (SPD).
The SPD covers the cities of Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, and Paranaque and the lone municipality of Pateros.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete said the 86 were all apprehended last Friday.
“The operation was categorized into three groups. In the category of Top Most Wanted Persons, Makati City Police conducted three operations and arrested three individuals, Taguig City Police conducted eight operations and arrested eight individuals, Pasay City Police arrested one individual, Muntinlupa City Police conducted two operations and arrested two individuals, Las Piñas City Police conducted three operation and arrested three individuals and Parañaque Police conducted three operations and arrested three individuals,” Rosete said in an after-operations report.
For Most Wanted Persons, seven were arrested in Pasay, four in Muntinlupa, four in Las Pinas, three in Paranaque and one each in Makati and Pateros.
In the Other Wanted Persons category, five were nabbed in Makati, six each in Taguig and Pasay, eight in Muntinlupa, 11 in Paranaque, while two others were also arrested by operatives of the District Mobile Force Batallion.
Among the notable arrests, according to the SPD, involved one alias Adrian who was apprehended after evading capture for 13 years since the Noveleta, Cavite municipal trial court issued a warrant against him for various offenses.
Another was against one alias Padre who was nabbed by operatives of the Taguig City police at Central Signal Village. He is the subject of a warrant of arrest for homicide issued on July 16, 2018 by Taguig City RTC Branch 153 Presiding Judge Mariam Bien.
