Police arrested six individuals in Barangay Mayombo, Dagupan City on May 12, just hours before
Election Day, for alleged vote-buying connected to local candidates.
The operation, prompted by a tip, recovered ₱120,600 in cash inside envelopes featuring campaign
materials for Celia Lim, Bryan Lim, Tope Lim, and the Tulungan Tayo Party-List. Sample ballots and
promotional flyers for these candidates were also seized.
The suspects include Michael Datuin Adaban (Barangay Mayombo), Eloisa Marie Dela Cruz Soriano
(Barangay Domalandan, Lingayen), Krizza Joy Agas Estabillo (San Carlos City), and Cresente Sison Bondoc
(San Carlos City). Two others, identified only as “Ysa” and “Maria,” are Barangay Mayombo residents.
All face charges under Article XXII, Section 261(a) of the Omnibus Election Code with bail set at ₱36,000
each. The suspects have submitted sworn statements while police investigate possible connections to a
larger operation.
The named candidates in the seized materials have not issued public statements regarding the arrests or
allegations.
