AIDA Aclon Patana, 47, a successful businesswoman, events and TV producer, mother of five and beauty queen from Cebu, is vying for an international pageant for moms anew.
Patana was appointed ad Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Philippines by Rodell Salvador, the national director for the international tilt that selects the most outstanding women to promote tourism in their respective countries and regions as well as their personal advocacies.
Patana’s formal crowning and sashing ceremony was held at BBQ Break Pureza and attended by a select number of media.
Aida’s previous experience at the Mrs. World Philippines pageant in Paris, France last year, as well as her training (in pasarela and question-and-answer) for the upcoming international tilt will serve her in good stead.
“I have selected Aida because she is not only qualified to represent but also because I believe she has a strong chance to win,” Salvador said. “We will not go to the pageant for a travel vacation. We are going there to win!”
Aida will be wearing the sash of Southeast Asia in the forthcoming pageant, to be held next February in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
Award-winning Cebu designer Cary Santiago will be doing Aida’s evening gown and national costume.
Three main titles are at stake at the Malaysia tilt: Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe, Mrs. Tourism Ambassador World and Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International.
In January this year, Myla Villagonzalo Tsutaichi of Baliuag, Bulacan clinched the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International 2019, also in Malaysia
Aida is excited for her international pageant journey because it will give her a wider opportunity to inspire others about her life story.
