A 72-year-old man was arrested for alleged physical injury and a security guard was also nabbed after allegedly firing shots during an altercation in Pasig City last Sunday before dawn.
Col. Roman Arugay, local police chief, identified the two as Teodoro Regio, 72, jobless, of Barangay New Zaniga, Mandaluyong; and Rodel Miraña, 39, security guard, of Marikina.
Seized from Miraña was his cal. 45 pistol with six bullets.
Police said an altercation erupted between Regio, Miraña and another security guard identified as Norman Basa at the parking area of the Home Depot on F. Ortigas St. in Barangay New Zaniga.
Regio reportedly tried to flee but Basa tried to stop him and was dragged by Regio’s vehicle. Miraña, in turn, fired at one of the tires of Regio’s vehicle.
Meanwhile, a jobless man voluntarily surrendered to police after allegedly stabbing and wounding a neighbor during a heated encounter in Pasig City last Sunday.
Arugay identified the jobless man as Menandro Buañgin, 49, and his victim as Jan Londa, 29.
