THE Supreme Court has extended anew notarial commissions for six months until December this year.
In an en banc resolution dated July 5, the SC granted the June 28 resolution of the Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines requesting the tribunal to extend the validity of existing notarial commissions that had earlier been extended up to June 30, 2022 to December 2022.
“Due to the recent rise in the number of active COVID-19 cases, the Court resolves to grant the IBP’s request and extend the validity of all notarial commissions set to expire on June 30, 2022,” the en banc said.
“Accordingly, all notarial commissions granted in 2019 and 2020 whose validity had been previously extended until June 30, 2022 pursuant to the Court’s resolution dated December 1, 2020, June 22, 2021 and September 28, 2021 are deemed further extended. These commissions shall thus remain valid for an additional period of six months beginning July 1, 2022 until December 31, 2022,” the en banc added.
