OPERATIVES of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) arrested a safety officer for sexually abusing a minor during an operation in Sampaloc, Manila early morning yesterday.
The ACG named the suspect as Denver Estorinos, alias Marjorie Osmena, 25, a resident Inocencio Salud, General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite.
Estorinos was arrested during an entrapment operation at 2:21 a.m. along Anzures St., Barangay 547 in Sampaloc, Manila. His arrest was made based on the complaint of the victim, Marj, a minor.
Police said Estorinos reached out to the victim on Facebook, using the profile name Marjorie Osmena, and offered P8,000 in exchange for her nude and videos.
The victim initially ignored the offer but later agreed due to the urging of the suspect.
The victim even had a video call with the suspect, who convinced her to perform “lascivious acts.”
Unknown to the victim, these were recorded by the suspect, who later used the video “to coerce her (victim) to a meet up for sexual favor.”
Police said the suspect threatened to upload the victim’s photos and videos on the internet if she would not agree to the meeting.
The victim, accompanied by her parents, reported the matter to the ACG, leading to the conduct of the entrapment operation and the arrest of the suspect.
Seized from Estorinos were a driver’s license and a cell phone.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act); and Article 286 (grave threat) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
