Ruben Soriquez, proud of his 4th EPIFF festival

Filipino-Italian actor/director Ruben Soriquez is proud of the 4th edition of EPIFF (European Philippine International Film Festival), which continues to grow stronger.

This year, from May 28 to 30, it will screen more than 20 films on the streaming platform iwatchmore.com, a film festival and independent film streaming platform also founded by Ruben Soriquez.

Founded by Ruben Soriquez and Italian filmmaker Maurizio Baldini, EPIFF is produced and organized together with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Philippine Italian Association (PIA), See Thru Pictures (Soriquez own film company), and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI), is now joined by NCCA, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and its Sentro Rizal Cultural Centers in Milan and Rome.

Furthermore, this year, EPIFF will be supported also by Film Philippines Incentives, partner film festivals TBA Play & TVCO and the partner association OFW watch Italy.

Now in its 4th edition, EPIFF will continue to showcase the burgeoning Philippine cinema scene in Italy, with the intent to promote encountering and discovering of the beauty and complexity of the Philippines, from its diverse cultures and regional languages, to its wild, rural landscape, its bustling cities, and lively artistic world.

This year, EPIFF will present a broad selection of films among which productions from ABSCBN, Cignal and TBA: “Milan” (Restored) by Olivia Lamasan (Italian Premiere), “Poon” by Roni Benaid (Italian Premiere), “Death of Nintendo” by Raya Martin (2020) – courtesy of TBA Play & TVCO, “Remnants of a Revolution” by Cha Escala (2020) (Italian Premiere).

For the first time, the festival will schedule two open forums with the filmmakers which will also see among the panelists, Ruben Soriquez himself.

Kyle Nieva will be this year’s film ambassador.
