Richard Yap has signed up with GMA.
The well-loved actor, singer and businessman is excited to do new things in the Kapuso network.
“They’ve been opening up a lot of interesting avenues to do. We’d want to explore other genres and do it with other artists I have not worked with.”
Comedy and action are two of the genres he would like to try. He is especially excited to collaborate with Michael V. having been a long-time follower of the comedy genius behind “Bubble Gang.”
He is also looking forward to working with Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff, Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos and Lovi Poe.
Yap said the reason he chose to sign up with GMA is the Kapuso network’s stability.
“GMA has been there for a long time and they’ve been doing a lot of shows for a long time so of course I would choose a more established network. That’s the main reason for us to choose GMA over other network,” he said.
Yap has worked with Rita Daniela and Ken Chan in a movie project and he finds the two very professional and easy to work with.
“It’s a love story and I had a lot of fun working with them. They’re nice kids and nice actors. I’m very happy to work with them because I saw a different side of moviemaking,” he said.
