THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is set to provide P10,000 financial aid to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who were forced to return home in 2016 without getting paid their salaries and end of contract benefits in Saudi Arabia.

In an announcement, the OWWA said they are set to provide a one-time financial assistance to qualified OFWs under the Financial Relief Assistance Package (FRAP).

“FRAP is a one-time financial assistance amounting to P10,000 for OFWs, who were repatriated from Saudi Arabia,” the OWWA said.

Qualified to avail of FRAP were those displaced in Saudi Arabia due to the economic downturn who were repatriated from January 2016 to December 2019.

The OWWA said it also covers OFWs who have pending money claims with the Saudi Arabia labor courts.

“Relatives of qualified OFWs, who have died already, may also avail of the assistance,” said OWWA.

The agency said applicants should accomplish online application form, show passports bearing the date of repatriation or arrival in the Philippines, and proof of pending money claims in Saudi Arabia.

To apply, OWWA said online application form may be accomplished and submitted online via https://frap.owwa.gov.ph/.

Once approved and verified by the concerned OWWA Regional Offices, the applicant will receive a text message for their appointment.
