Remains of 35 Pinoys brought home from Saudi

THE remains of 35 Filipino workers who who died in Saudi Arabia arrived home yesterday after being stuck abroad due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The fifth batch, which arrived before 10 a.m. at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, includes 30 Filipinos who died from COVID-19, the Department of Labor and Employment said in a Facebook post.

The remaining five died from non-COVID-19 causes, it said.

The DOLE also said 21 came from Al Khobar, 12 from Jeddah, and two from Riyadh.

The first four batches have brought home the remains of 267 Filipino workers from Saudi Arabia.
