TWO moderate quakes hit Zambales and Davao Occidental yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
No damage was reported.
The first, a magnitude 5.6 tremor, was recorded at 10:02 a.m. in Davao Occidental. Its epicenter was some 235 km east of Jose Abad Santos town. It had a depth of 113 km and was tectonic in origin.

The second earthquake, also tectonic in origin, hit Zambales. The magnitude 5.2 quake was recorded at 12:41 p.m. Its epicenter was some 94 km west of San Antonio town. It had a depth oh 20 km. — Noel Talacay
