QCPD: Cop in Bulacan robbery to be axed

QUEZON City Police Director Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra yesterday assured the public that the cop who was nabbed after robbing an LBC branch in San Miguel, Bulacan last Sunday would be dismissed from the service.

The cop, Cpl. Moises Yango, 29, assigned with the District Mobile Force Battalion of the QCPD, is detained at the San Miguel Municipal Police Station. He will be charged with robbery and violation of Republic Act R.A. 9516 or Illegal Possession of Explosive.

Yarra said he has ordered the transfer of Yango to the District Personnel Holding and Accounting Section last Monday.

“Rest assured, Yango will be dismissed from the service,” Yarra said.

A man wearing a bonnet barged into the LBC branch in Barangay Camias, San Miguel last Sunday afternoon, declared a holdup, and fled aboard a motorcycle with no license plate. — Noel Talacay
