Pulse Asia: Marcos suffers double digit losses in approval, trust ratings

PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. suffered double-digit losses in his approval and trust ratings while Vice President Sara Duterte and Speaker Martin Romualdez saw their respective approval and trust ratings dip by seven to nine points, the March 6 to 10 Ulat ng Bayan survey of Pulse Asia showed.

The survey showed that Marcos scored an approval rating of 55 percent last March, down by 13 points from 68 percent in December, while his trust rating slid by 16 points to 57 percent from 73 percent during the same period. His approval and trust ratings slid across the board by one to 29 points.

The President scored his highest approval rating in Luzon with 66 percent (down from 74 percent), followed by the Visayas with 54 percent (down from 66 percent), and Metro Manila with 47 percent (down from 64 percent).

His performance was most approved by those from Classes ABC with 62 percent (almost unchanged from 63 percent) followed by Class D with 56 percent (down from 69 percent), and Class E with 48 percent (down from 68 percent).

Marcos earned his highest trust score in Luzon with 67 percent (down from 72 percent), followed by those in Metro Manila with 55 percent (down from 76 percent), the Visayas with 54 percent (down from 73 percent) and Mindanao with 38 percent (down from 70 percent).

He was most trusted by those from Classes ABC with 63 percent (down from 71 percent), followed by Class D with 58 percent (down from 72 percent) and Class E with 45 percent (down from 74 percent).

Pulse Asia also found the Vice President’s approval and trust ratings down by seven points each with 67 percent (from 74 percent) and 71 percent (from 78 percent), respectively.

Duterte was most approved in Mindanao with 92 percent (almost unchanged from 93 percent), followed by the Visayas with 64 percent (down from 73 percent), Luzon with 61 percent (down from 69 percent), and Metro Manila with 52 percent (down from 61 percent).

She was also most approved by Class D with 68 percent (down from 69 percent), followed by Class E with 65 percent (down from 79 percent), and Classes ABC with 63 percent (down from 72 percent).

The Vice President earned her highest trust rating in Mindanao with 95 percent (almost unchanged from 96 percent), followed by the Visayas with 72 percent (down from 83 percent), Luzon with 62 percent (down from 69 percent) and Metro Manila with 60 percent (down from 76 percent).

Duterte was most trusted by Class D with 72 percent (down from 77 percent), followed by Class E with 69 percent (down from 84 percent), and Class ABC with 68 percent (down from 78 percent).

ROMUALDEZ

The Speaker also saw his approval and trust ratings dip by eight to nine points with 31 percent each (down from 36 percent and 40 percent, respectively).

Romualdez was most approved in Metro Manila with 34 percent (down from 32 percent), followed by the Visayas with 33 percent (down from 41 percent), Luzon with 32 percent (down from 38 percent) and Mindanao with 25 percent (down from 42 percent).

He was also most approved by Class D with 34 percent (down from 37 percent), followed by Classes ABC with 28 percent (down from 35 percent), and Class E with 20 percent (down from 50 percent).

The Speaker was most trusted by those from Luzon with 36 percent (down from 37 percent), followed by those from Metro Manila with 33 percent (down from 42 percent), the Visayas with 27 percent (down from 47 percent) and Mindanao with 21 percent (down from 39 percent).

Romualdez was most trusted by Classes ABC with 35 percent (down from 44 percent), followed by Class D with 32 percent (down from 39 percent) and Class E with 22 percent (down from 43 percent).

ZUBIRI

In contrast, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri saw his trust and approval ratings go up by two to three points, respectively. He earned his highest approval rating of 70 points (up from 60 percent) in Mindanao, followed by the Visayas with 54 percent (down from 55 percent), Luzon with 46 percent (up from 44 percent), and Metro Manila with 34 percent (up from 32 percent).

He was also most approved by Classes ABC with 62 percent (up from 34 percent), followed by Class D with 54 percent (up from 51 percent) and Class e with 3 percent (down from 48 percent).

Zubiri is most trusted by Mindanaoans with 69 percent (up from 58 percent), followed by those from the Visayas with 53 percent (down from 57 percent), and Luzon and Metro Manila with 47 percent each.

He is most trusted by Classes ABC with 62 percent (up from 41 percent), followed by Class D with 55 percent (up from 53 percent) and Class e with 39 percent (down from 49 percent).
