THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning the public against buying the unregistered sugar brand “Lots for Less Warehouse Sale Sugar” which it said has not undergone its evaluation.
The FDA also said it has not issued a certificate of product registration for the food item.
The FDA advisory comes amid high prices of sugar products in the market.
Based on monitoring of the Department of Agriculture, retail prices of refined sugar range between P86 and P110 per kilo; washed sugar between P82 and P90 per kilo; and brown sugar between P78 and P90 per kilo. — Gerard Naval
