THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) yesterday warned the public against the product “Mario’s Brand Corned Beef” which is unregistered with the agency.
The presence of the imported product was detected through online monitoring or post-marketing surveillance of the FDA.
The FDA said the absence of a certificate of product registration means the product has not been evaluated by the agency.
“Since this food product has not gone through evaluation process of the FDA, the agency cannot assure its quality and safety,” said the FDA.
The FDA asked the Bureau of Customs to stop the entry of the unregistered product. — Gerard Naval
