PRC issues licensure exam schedule for 17 professions

WITH the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) gradually being eased in many parts of the country, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has issued new schedules for the licensure examinations that had been postponed.

The new schedules cover 17 professions previously set for March to June this year.

They are for architects (October 30 and November 1), certified public accountants (October 11, 12 and 18), chemical engineers (October 1, 2, and 4), civil engineers (November 15 and 16), criminologists (November 29, 30 and December 1), dentists (December 2, 3 and 4), dental hygienists (November 24), electronics engineers (October 25 and 26);

Electronics technicians (October 27), medical technologists (August 30 and 31), midwives (November 8 and 9), nurses (November 22 and 23), pharmacists (December 13 and 14), physicians (September 13, 14, 20 and 21), professional teachers (September 27), registered electrical engineers (September 3 and 4), and registered master electricians (September 6).

The new deadlines for filing applications are, for architects (September 30), certified public accountants (August 26), chemical engineers (September 1), civil engineers (October 1), criminologists (September 28), dentists (November 3), dental hygienists (October 26), electronics engineers (September 24, 2020);

Electronics technicians (September 24), medical technologists (July 30), midwives (October 8), nurses (October 19), pharmacists (November 11), physicians (August 13), professional teachers (July 29), registered electrical engineers (August 4), and registered master electricians (August 4, 2020).

“Those applicants, who have filed their application for examination and issued Notice of Admission (NOA) will no longer be required to file new applications,” the PRC said.

Last month, the PRC announced the postponement of several licensure examinations due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
