PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar yesterday ordered a thorough investigation and manhunt against the suspects in the killing of a media executive in Gen. Santos City last Friday.
“We strongly denounce this incident,” Eleazar said, referring to the murder of Yentez Quintoy, 34, executive director and chief of staff of the Brigada Group of Companies.
Quintoy was on her way back to her residence aboard her car when motorcycle-riding suspects shot her on NLSA Road in Pook Masunurin, Barangay San Isidro. The assailants fled after the attack.
“I have directed the local police to thoroughly investigate this killing and launch manhunt operations against the perpetrators of this crime,” Eleazar said, adding no stone will be left unturned in the conduct of the investigation.
“We will check if the motive in the killing of the victim is job-related but we are not ruling out other angles in this crime,” said Eleazar.
Eleazar said police will coordinate with the relatives and co-workers of Quintoy in the conduct of the investigation to determine if the victims had enemies or if she received death threats prior to her killing.
He also urged witnesses to help the immediately resolution of the case.
