THE PNP is validating the claims of a former member of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) who has come out and identified some of the victims allegedly executed by members of the “Angels of Death,” a supposed private army of pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
The individual, whom PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo refused to identify, has supposedly given the names of former KOJC members who were harmed and even killed for breaking the religious group’s code of secrecy.
“They were harmed and in fact killed because of their alleged expose of some illegal activities being committed by Apollo Quiboloy and others. So, these are now subject to validation,” said Fajardo in a press briefing in Camp Crame.
“We are conducting background checks and we’re looking into our records. We are verifying if the Angels of Death has actual victims,” she said, adding that the former KOJC member approached them and identified the alleged victims of the Angels of Death.
“It was reported (by the former KOJC member) that there were killings, there was harm inflicted against those who left KOJC,” she said.
The former Quiboloy supporter, Fajardo said, is different from the ex-Angels of Death member who confirmed that their group was used to harass and threaten the pastor’s sexual abuse victims. The latter is under police custody.
Several child abuse victims of Quiboloy who recently came out in the open said they were raped by Quiboloy when they were at the young age of 12 to 13.
Police said the victims and their families were threatened with harm if they will reveal their ordeal to authorities. Tasked to inflict harm to the victims and their families, police said, were members of the Angels of Death.
