PLAYERS in the PBA bubble yielded negative results anew after the latest swab tests for COVID-19 administered by the Clark Development Corp.

A week after action in the Philippine Cup kicked off, Commissioner Willie Marcial said players of the 12 competing teams have tested negative for the deadly virus after the second round of testing last week.

Some players who were late entrees in the bubble, however, are still scheduled to be tested along with members of the PBA staff.

Marcial is grateful for all players, coaches, and team personnel from observing discipline and self-restraint in the three weeks since the league bubble began.

Swab testing on the players and all other people in the bubble being administered every two weeks as part of the strict health protocols crafted by the league.

The initial tests were done when teams began arriving at the Clark Freeport last Sept. 28 and 29.

The negative outcome of the previous tests paved the way for the successful restart of the Philippine Cup last Oct. 11 at the Smart 5G-powered Angeles University Foundation gym.
