THE International Catholic organization “Aid to the Church in Need (ACN)” yesterday asked the Filipino youth to join the world in praying the rosary today (Tuesday) at 9 a.m.
In a social media post, ACN Philippines also called on parishes, schools, and families to join in the annual initiative called “One Million Children Praying the Rosary.”
“Let us pray for wars to stop, for the pandemic to end, and for peace and unity to reign in the world,” said ACN Philippines.
The One Million Children Praying the Rosary event is held every October, which is the month dedicated to the Rosary. Participating entities are encouraged to join the face-to-face and online activity.
Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula supported the ACN call, saying the Church is hoping the habit of praying the rosary will go beyond the annual event.
He also said the call for the regular praying of the rosary goes out also to the adults.
“Wherever we are and whenever possible, we can pray the rosary. Our daily praying of the rosary will help form our love for God and our neighbors,” he said.
“Hopefully, the rosary will not just be placed in our pockets or bags or left hanging in our necks or vehicles,” he added.
