DAYS before the annual event, the Philippines has the highest number of registered participants so far in the “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” global event set on October 18, Wednesday.

In a social media post, the Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) said the Philippines has the most registered participants at 89,327 individuals as of October 15.

“The Philippines has the most number of registered participants, who will join the One Million Children Praying the Rosary,” said ACN.

Other countries with a large number of registered participants are the United Kingdom (45,382), the United States (32,450), and Australia (11,916).

Globally, there are already 479,161 children committed to join the event set at 9 a.m. tomorrow but this is lower than the 871,523 children that participated in the 2022 edition.

To help achieve the goal of 1 million participating children, the ACN reiterated its call for more individuals to register.

“Invite your classmates, friends, and family to pray the rosary on October 18, 9:00 a.m. Let us be part of this prayer initiative,” said the pontifical foundation.

ACN said the faithful may register online through the website millonchildrenpraying.org.

Launched in 2005 in Venezuela, the global prayer initiative seeks to rekindle faith in the power of prayer by calling on everyone to form one family across borders that is united in prayer.
