PRESIDENT Marcos Jr.  yesterday said the Philippines is ready to provide assistance and support to the government and citizens of Morocco following the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the African country last week.

The President, in his official X account, also said Filipinos are deeply saddened by the incident and stand in grief and solidarity with the Moroccans.

“Our prayers go to the families affected by this tragedy. The Philippines is ready to offer assistance and any support that may be needed for the swift recovery of your nation. We have faith in the strength and resilience of the Moroccan people to unite and rebuild in the face of such adversity,” Marcos said.
