THE head of the Pontificio Collegio Filippino (PCF) is calling on archdioceses and dioceses in the Philippines, including their lay people, to send more priests to study in Rome.

In a radio interview, PCF Rector Fr. Gregory Ramon Gaston yesterday appealed to bishops and archbishops to continue supporting the continuing formation of their priests.

“We renew our invitation for them to send more priests to do further studies in Rome,” said Gaston.

He also called on the lay faithful to help support their priests akin to how they would send their child to a good university in Manila.

“We pray that the lay faithful could help their dioceses finance their priests’ continuing formation in Rome,” said Gaston.

Established in 1961, the PCF serves as the official residence of Filipino diocesan priests studying in different universities in Rome.
