TYPHOON “Perla” has weakened into a tropical storm and is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in a final weather bulletin issued 11 p.m. on Sunday.
Perla exited the PAR around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said there is no active weather system inside the PAR but PAGASA continues to monitor a typhoon, with international name “Bualoi,” outside the country.
Bualoi was some 2,670 km east of Southern Luzon as of yesterday morning. It was moving west northwest at 15 kph with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of 160 kph. — Victor Reyes
