THREE houses, including the home of Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil, were razed by a fire that broke out in Quezon City last Wednesday night.
The fire broke out at a two-story house owned by Kim Jhong Hoo on Gabriela Silang Street, New Capitol State 1, Barangay Batasan at around 8:38 p.m., the Bureau of Fire-Quezon City said.
The blaze spread to two other houses, including that of Garafil’s.

A total of 13 firetrucks responded and put out the fire at 10:44 p.m
Fire investigators estimated the cost of damage at P7 million.
Quezon City fire chief Senior Superintendent Florian Guerrero said they were still determining what caused the fire.
Reports said Garafil’s house is registered under the name of a relative.
