President Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Rolen Paulino.
“On behalf of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., please be informed that your resignation has been accepted effective 15 April 2023,” a letter signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin read.
The letter, dated April 13, was addressed to Paulino, who tendered his resignation last March 31.
Paulino said while his term as SBMA Chairman and Administrator was for six years, he tendered his resignation to give the President a free hand in choosing who would lead the SBMA.
He was appointed in March 2022 or months before the term of then President Rodrigo Duterte ended.
