MALACAÑANG has reconstituted the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board of the Office of the President (OP) which handles the recruitment and selection of employees who are either entering the civil service for the first time or are being reinstated, and the screening of government employees considered for promotion.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, on August 24, issued Memorandum Order 16 which listed the members of the nine-man board.
The Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration will serve as chairperson, while the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs will be the vice chairperson.
Other members of the Board are the Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration, two representatives from the Office of the Executive Secretary, the head of the Human Resource Management Office, and the head of the agency where the vacancy exists.
Other members are representatives from the OP Employees’ Network for first level position and second position.
Previously, the members included the head of the legal office, which had been removed.
