PRESIDENT Marcos Jr. has named Emmanuel Rufino Ledesma Jr. as the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Ledesma has been leading the PhilHealth in an acting capacity since last year.
The list of appointments released by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) yesterday evening also indicated that Ledesma will serve as a member of PhilHealth’s expert panel and board of directors.
He was the former president and CEO of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM).
The President also named lawyer Khay Ann Magundayao-Borlado as deputy executive director of the Philippine Commission on Women.
She was a former member of the board of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Nueva Ecija chapter.
Also included in the list of appointments are Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Mendiola Remolana Jr., who already took his oath and assumed his post early this week.
Other appointees were David Erro, member of the board of the Land Bank of the Philippines representing the agrarian reform beneficiaries; Romeo Allan Rosales, Custom Collector VI of the Bureau of Customs; Reinlyne Varias, Director III of the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution; Mathias Malenab, Director III, Department of Public Works and Highways; Bonifacio Pajuelas, Director III of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration; and Colonel Jose Jesus Luntok, commander of the Philippine Army-Light Reaction Team.
