MORE than P93,000 worth of assistance had been distributed to 18 families currently staying at an evacuation center in Cagayan de Oro City following a fire that hit Camp Evangelista early this week, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said yesterday.
Data from the DSWD-Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) showed that as of 6 p.m. of July 13, 18 families composed of 93 persons are staying at an evacuation center while 33 other families are staying with relatives.
The DSWD said P93,622 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families, which includes P72,950 from the department and P20,672 from the local government.
