ANTI-DRUG operatives seized P89 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a suspected drug suspect in a “controlled delivery operation” in Las Piñas City last Wednesday afternoon.
A report submitted to the Southern Police District said combined operatives from the Las Piñas City police station, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Police Intelligence and Investigation Division arrested Jolle Ann Cuer, 25, at around 4 p.m. at the TS Cruz Subdivision, Almanza Dos in Las Piñas.
The operation stemmed from a tip provided by a confidential informant about Cuer’s alleged illegal drug activities.
Seized from the suspect were 13.175 grams of shabu with a street value of P89. 5 million and a cellular phone.
The illegal drugs were placed inside 44 foil pouches inside a parcel shipped by one Micheal Olanrewaju of Laos State, Ogba, Nigeria and consigned to Cuer.
The confiscated drugs were immediately submitted to the PDEA laboratory for examination while Cuer was detained at the Las Piñas police detention cell.
Police seized over P1.1 million worth of suspected dangerous drugs and arrested five persons, including a minor, during a buy-bust operation in Marikina City last Tuesday night.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Mark,” 26; “Ton,” 45; “Aya,” 32; all from Marikina City; alias “Ci,” 31, of San Mateo, Rizal; and a 15-year-old boy.
Confiscated from them were several sachets containing more or less 165 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P1,112,000. — With Christian Oineza
