P68.34M ecstasy tablets seized; 4 suspects nabbed

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives arrested a suspected illegal drug importer and his three cohorts and seized P68.34 million worth of the party drug ecstasy in Pasay City last Monday afternoon.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) National Capital Region named the suspects as Robert Trebi Simon, 43; Mark Bryan Gamba, 43; Fabio Dalvans, 36; and Sherill Gamba, 46.

They were nabbed at 3:20 p.m. at the Mail Exchange Center on Domestic Road in Pasay City by personnel of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG).

NAIA-IADITG is composed of government agencies, including PDEA and the PNP Drug Enforcement Group.

The seized shipment was consigned to Simon, PDEA said.

It was shipped from Rotterdam City in the Netherlands and declared as dog food and kitten food.

The shipment contained three green plastic bags labeled “Bonzo” containing 30,142 tablets of ecstasy worth P51.24 million.

It also included a white plastic bag labeled “Senior” containing 10,064 tablets of ecstasy worth P17.1 million.

Also seized from the suspects were several identification cards, a driver’s license, and four cell phones.
