NEARLY P600,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized by police and Customs personnel while a suspected pusher and 15 suspected users were nabbed in buy-bust operations yesterday.
Operatives of the Southern Police District seized P241,400 worth of suspected shabu and arrested Allen Ceballos, 25, a suspected pusher, in a buy-bust operation at Villa Coastal in Barangay Daniel Fajardo, Las Piñas City, at about 2:30 a.m.
Ceballos’ companion, identified as Erwin Dizon, managed to escape.
Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan, SPD director, said that since Jan. 1, the SPD has confiscated 257.67 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,752,156.
Customs personnel, meanwhile, intercepted kush weeds and liquid marijuana with an estimated street value of P200,000 at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City.
The shipment, which came from California, was declared as “one pair of shoes and chocolate.” Upon examination, the parcel was found to contain four packs of suspected kush weeds and 10 cartridges of liquid marijuana.
The alleged consignee, identified as Xavier Martin Bulos from Sampaloc, Manila, was arrested while claiming the parcel. He will face charges.
Meanwhile, 15 suspected pushers were nabbed in anti-drug operations in Pasig, Mandaluyong, and Marikina yesterday and P156,740 worth of suspected shabu was seized by police.
