P414M shabu seized, pusher nabbed in Bulacan

ANTI-NARCOTICS agents seized over 60 kilos of suspected shabu worth P414 million and arrested a drug pusher in Marilao, Bulacan yesterday morning.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency spokesman Derrick Carreon identified the suspect as Jalon Supe Laureta, a resident of Bacoor City.

Carreon said Laureta was nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 10 a.m. on KM 32 in Marilao. The operation was conducted by operatives of PDEA and PNP Drug Enforcement Group and personnel from the Intelligence Service of the AFP and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Also seized from Laureta were a Toyota Altis, two cellphones and identification cards.

Carreon said Laureta is considered a “high-value target” in the continuing war against drugs.

In Cavite, police, PDEA and Armed Forces personnel arrested another drug pusher identified as Jay-r Fuenteveros, a resident of Paranaque City, and seized two kilos of suspected shabu worth P13.6 million.

In Muntinlupa City, four drug pushers were also arrested in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion on Tuesday.

Police identified the four as Jhonray Barendse, 31; Joselito Olong Estay, 52; Emely Dologuin Subrado, 48; and Marcel Iglesias Alawia, 36, who are said to be employees of a Chinese detained at the National Bilibid Prison.

They yielded a kilo of shabu, worth P6.8 million.

In Kalinga, police operatives and Army soldiers swooped down on four marijuana plantations in Tinglayan town over the weekend.

No cultivators were arrested but authorities found a large quantity of fully-grown marijuana plants, dried marijuana leaves and other marijuana products. The items, worth P23.1 million, were burned.
