POLICE and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested three suspected drug dealers, one of them injured, and seized 57 kilos of suspected shabu worth P387.6 million in Quezon City yesterday morning.

A report by PNP Drug Enforcement Group identified the arrested suspects as Gibbrael Arcega, 32; Mikkael Arcega, 29; and Ramil Ramos, 39.

They were arrested by PNP Drug Enforcement Group and PDEA personnel in a buy-bust operation at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday at a gasoline station in Mindanao Ave., Quezon City.

Ramos reportedly opened fire at policemen after sensing he and his companions were dealing with authorities. Policemen returned fire, injuring him.

Also seized from the suspects were the buy-bust money, a loaded cal. 45 pistol, a Nissan Urvan van, and identification cards.

The drug haul is the third largest for this month. Last March 8, 160 kilos of shabu worth P1.1 billion was seized from a Chinese drug dealer and his Filipina cohort in a buy-bust operation in Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, the biggest bust so far this month.

Six days earlier, authorities seized 60 kilos of shabu worth P414 million in another buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan. A drug dealer was arrested during the operation.
