THREE suspected drug pushers were killed and P27.2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City before dawn yesterday.
Col. Roman Arugay, local police chief, identified the fatalities as Richard Buan, 36; Paulo Rioflorido, and alias Ricsan, alleged members of the Kenneth Maclan drug syndicate operating in Metro Manila and Regions 3 and 4A.
Recovered from them were different handguns and 27 kilos of suspected shabu.
The operation was jointly conducted by the local police, NCRPO, and PDEA agents on Tranix ROTC Road in Barangay Rosario.
Aguray said after police declared a buy-bust, the suspects tried to flee and fired at the law enforcers, who fought back, killing the trio. — Christian Oineza
