TWO suspected drug pushers were killed while 31 kilos of shabu with a street value of P210.8 million was seized by joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Group operatives in a buy-bust operation in Las Pinas City on Tuesday night.

PNP chief Debold Sinas, who rushed to the scene to inspect the seized drugs, identified the slain suspects as Jen Jieko Salameda Amarga, alias Koy-koy and Coco Amarga; and Andrew Guinto Garcia.

Sinas said a poseur buyer arranged to buy a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million from the suspects.

After the deal was completed, Sinas said the policemen told the suspects they are being arrested but the two chose to shot it out with the cops, according to Sinas.

Recovered from the suspects were the buy-bust money and two cal. 45 pistols.

During a search of the suspects’ van, police and PDEA personnel found a total of 30 more kilos of shabu worth P204 million.

Amarga and Garcia, members the Amarga Drug Group, are said to be working as distributors of one alias Ramboo/Boss of the Sputnik Gang.

The PNP DEG said the group is getting the shabu from a Chinese based in Myanmar. The group reportedly is storing the illegal drugs at a warehouse in Pampanga.

Sinas said the PDEG is conducting follow-up operations. He also the group is supplying drugs in Metro Manila, CALABARZON and Central Luzon.

“Based on our report and discussions with the PDEG, these are most likely new players who are in need of money so the buy-bust was rushed,” Sinas said.
