P20.4M shabu seized in Taguig; 3 suspects fall

THREE suspected pushers, including a minor, were arrested and three kilos of suspected shabu worth P20.4 million were seized by authorities in Taguig City on Monday night, it was reported yesterday.

A report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified two of the suspects as Jaynard Dela Rosa Pamittan and John Gujilde. The name of the minor was withheld.

PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said the three were nabbed by personnel from PDEA, PNP, Intelligence Service of the AFP and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency in a buy-bust operation at the parking lot of Market Market in Taguig City at around 6:30 p.m.

Seized from them were three kilos of shabu, two cell phones, a Honda car with the ignition key, and the buy-bust money.

In Quezon City, two other suspected drug dealers were arrested in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagong Toro at around 5:50 p.m., according to QC Police District chief Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo.

The suspects were identified as Arman Arnaiz, alias Arnes and Benjamin Manterlo, alias BJ.

They yielded 34 grams of suspected shabu worth P231,000 and a cell phone.

Three more were arrested in buy-bust operations in Marikina City, with P30,600 worth of suspected drugs seized.

Col. Restituto Arcangel, local police chief, identified the three as Adrian Melgar, 41; Maricel Villanueva, 42; and Rubyna Amor Loyola, 19.

Recovered from them were more 85 grams of suspected marijuana and three grams of suspected shabu. — With Christian Oineza
