P154M shabu seized in Sorsogon, Las Piñas

ANTI-ILLEGAL drugs agents seized suspected shabu with a street value of P154 million, P136M of them at the Matnog Port in Sorsogon yesterday.

Initial reports said operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, in coordination with the local police, conducted an operation at Matnog Port at around 10 a.m. after receiving information that illegal drugs will be transported through the pier.

Reports said the illegal drugs, some 20 kilos, were discovered in the baggage of Irish Yap dela Pena and Jose Lani Abarido Rocaza, residents of Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.

Police seized nearly P18 million worth of suspected shabu weighing more than 2.5 kilograms in two separate buy-bust operations in Las Piñas City on Wednesday night.

Operatives conducted a buy-bust operation on Verdant Acres Ave., Verdant Acres Subdivision, Barangay Pamplona Tres at about 6:50 p.m.

Two alleged drug pushers, identified as Jerrymias Suson and Miguel Castillo, were nabbed. Seized from them were three large plastics of shabu worth P17 million. Police also recovered the P1.5 million buy-bust money.

An alleged drug pusher and a 16-year-old girl were arrested in another anti-illegal drug operation on C-5 Ext. Road, Brgy. Manuyo Uno. The alleged pusher was identified as Anne Antonette Eugenio, 27.

Col. Segundo Lagundi, Las Piñas police chief, said the minor was being used as a courier.
Two sachets of suspected shabu worth P850,000 were seized from them.

Two persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal on Wednesday night.
