ANTI-NARCOTIS police operatives seized 22.1 kilos of suspected shabu worth P150.28 million while a suspected drug pusher was arrested in Lapu-Lapu City yesterday afternoon.
Brig. Gen. Alberto Ignatius Ferro, director of the Central Visayas regional police office, identified the suspect as Gilbert Lumanog, described as a priority target in the region-wide campaign against illegal drugs.
“He is one of the high-value individuals, priority of PRO-7 (Police Regional Office 7)… He is one of the PRO-7 priority targets, a high-value individual,” Ferro said of Lumanog.
Ferro said Lumanog, a member of a drug syndicate, was arrested by operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of the Central Visayas Regional Police Office in a buy-bust operation conducted jointly with the National Capital Region Police Office.
Recovered from Lumanog’s possession were 22.1 kilos of shabu packed in tea bags.
