P136M shabu seized; 3 suspected pushers fall

ANTI-ILLEGAL drugs operatives seized 20 kilos of suspected shabu with a street value of P136 million and nabbed three suspected pushers in separate operations in the southern part of Metro Manila yesterday.

Reports reaching PDEA chief Wilkins Villanueva said two suspected pushers identified as January Berroya, 40, of San Pedro, Laguna, and Rolando Sanchez, 57, of Pasig City, were nabbed at the parking space of a mall in Paranaque City.

The two were arrested after they agreed to deliver two kilos of suspected shabu worth P13.6 million to undercover government agents.

In Las Pinas, another team of anti-narcotics agents pounced on Moises Joshua Esguerra, 23, in his house at BF Resort, Las Pinas City.

Reports said Esguerra agreed to sell one kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million to a poseur-buyer. Other agents raided his house where 17 more kilos of suspected shabu worth more than P115 million were seized.

Police also seized P1.7 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested five persons in a buy-bust operation in Marikina City.

Brig. Gen Matthew Baccay, Eastern Police District director, identified the five as Rodolfo Unarosa, 38, the NCRPO No. 5 most wanted on illegal drugs; his wife Grace Joy, 41; NCRPO No. 9 most wanted; Jonathan Pulido, 26; Marifel Estoque, 24; and Aaron Jhon Guiyang, 21. — With Christian Oineza
