ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives nabbed four suspected drug peddlers and seized 1.75 kilos of suspected shabu worth P11.9 million in separate operations in Maguindanao and Iloilo on Tuesday and Wednesday.
One of the suspects, Saddam Abubakar, was nabbed by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy-bust operation in front of the Sandakan Elementary School in Sitio Golf, Barangay Dalumangcob, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao at 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
Seized from Abubakar was a transparent plastic bag containing a kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8 million and the buy-bust money.
Earlier Wednesday, at around 11 a.m., joints operatives of the PDEA, Army and PNP arrested two drug peddlers in front of the public market in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, according to AFP Western Mindanao Command spokesman Lt. Col. Alaric Delos Santos.
The two — Enar Lumawan Bulilo, alias Jabar and Muhamidin, 21; and Sabir Tahir Omar, alias Bertos Taher Omar and Bertos, 23 — were nabbed in a similar buy-bust operation.
The duo yielded 250 grams of suspected shabu, worth P1.7 million, the buy-bust money, two leather wallets, a sling bag, three cellphones, three identification cards, and a motorcycle.
The fourth suspect was identified as Mary Joy Villarina, alias Joy.
Citing a report from the Western Visayas regional police office, PNP chief Debold Sinas said Villarina was nabbed by the PNP’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Iloilo provincial police office in a buy-bust operation at around 2 a.m. in Iloilo. — With Christian Oineza
