POLICE and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized 15 kilos of suspected shabu worth P102 million in Caloocan City at dawn yesterday.

PNP chief Dionardo Carlos said the suspect, Randy Rafael, alias RR, 42, a resident of Pasay City, works under a Chinese drug trafficker identified only as alias Lim.

Carlos said Rafael was nabbed during a buy-bust operation mounted by personnel of PNP Drug Enforcement Group, other police units and PDEA on Baesa road in Caloocan City.

Seized from the suspect were 15 pieces of Chinese teabags that each contained a kilo of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.

“Based on initial investigation, the said suspect is working for a Chinese drug personality known only by the alias Lim who is openly distributing illegal drugs in NCR and nearby areas,” said Carlos.

Carlos said he has ordered a thorough investigation and subsequent conduct of operation against Lim to arrest him and stop his drug transactions.

“Since my first day as the top cop, I will make sure that we will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drug peddlers and put them all behind bars,” Carlos said.

Rafael is detained at the PDEG office in Camp Crame for further investigation and filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
